Some of the Pisces Foundation’s earliest investments supported organizations and projects that aimed to durably transform the way cities manage and think about water. Our goal for this work was simple but ambitious: make “One Water” approaches the new normal by institutionalizing integrated water thinking and practices in 50 cities across the country.
We work with partners who are changing the future of water in urban spaces, but it’s not always easy to understand the dimensions of work to put people and nature at the forefront of water management. That’s why we invited some of the leaders we support to tell us how this vision is coming to life in their communities.
At the 2019 US Water Alliance One Water Summit in Austin, I asked our urban water partners what excites them most about the changes they are making. It was inspiring to meet them in person after learning about their work from a distance. I’m proud to share this video featuring our partners’ stories and work in their own words.
Please watch it, share it, and tweet us your own #OneWater stories @PiscesFdn.
