Rachel is a program associate at the Pisces Foundation, focusing on the Environmental Education Program.
Prior to joining Pisces, Rachel worked as a science education specialist at the Asombro Institute for Science Education. In this role, she developed and delivered hands-on lessons for K–12 students and evaluated the impacts of these programs. She also evaluated the organization’s efforts to implement the Next Generation Science Standards and coordinated communication efforts for the organization.
Rachel has also served as an environmental education research assistant at North Carolina State University, as an environmental education program coordinator at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, and as an environmental educator and interpretative ranger for the Student Conservation Association in New Hampshire.
Rachel has an M.S. in parks, recreation and tourism management from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in environment from the University of Michigan. When she’s not working, Rachel likes to bake, go on bike rides, and hike with her dogs.
